The location in the centre of Pitlochry is excellent. I had a good dinner in the restaurant but it was only open one of the three nights I stayed. Most of the staff were pleasant. I had a good massage treatment at the spa.

Breakfast was excellent, good service and friendly staff.
Meals at night were very expensive, more like central Edinburgh or Lindon prices .
Same with cocktails.
So we chose not to eat there at night.

The restaurants and nightlife were excellent considering the size of Pitlochry. Reasonable range of shops, not too tacky. Found accommodation relatively expensive compared to cities ie Glasgow, Dundee and on a par with Edinburgh.

Beautiful and friendly.
Beautiful and friendly. The village is lovely with a good choice of bars, cafes and restaurants. There are great walks and excellent opportunities for cycling.
There are some interesting shops too and if you're into tweed, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We first visited Pitlochry in autumn 2019 - it was delightful then - it’s now spring 2024 - just as enjoyable, not a lot has changed. The main shopping precinct is busy with bus tours and particularly with tourists over the weekend - early mornings are best to get a seat in a coffee shop . To beat the crowds, take the suspension bridge across Tummel River to the Port-na-Craig area - the stone cottages and pub by the river bank is a tranquil area to enjoy. Continue along the walking path to the ‘salmon ladder’ and beyond to Faskally Wood or much further to the Killiecrankie Visitors Centre.

Excellent care and evening dinner in The Bridge Restaurant.
Good pub grub and attentive staff in McKays Pub & Restaurant.
Pleasant staff in Old Mill Inn.
Mega bus to Edinburgh unreliable.
Pitlochry Hydro did not meet our expectations room very very basic for the price and had a horrible smell. Have stayed in a better £29 premier Inn.There was no toilet roll or shower gel and were not informed there were no facilities open ie pool and gym. The location was not good as my husband has had 2 knee replacement and found the hill climb extremely hard and this was not stated we were up a hill.
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the town of Pitlochry: it was an interesting and easy walk around the town. We were pleased to get a ground floor room, which was spacious and well appointed. The bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a wonderful hot shower. The buffet styled breakfast was served in a spacious dining room.
The breakfast was delightful and on special order. The facility was very clean, neat, and nicely appointed. The bed comfortable. Since the builiding was on a hillside, the views terrific. The owners/staff very friendly and helpful. It was an excellent experience which we would gladly repeat if we get to Pitlochry again.
An excellent hotel. Charming and relaxing. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff and the best food we’ve come across in a long time.
Comfortable bed and dog friendly which is one of the reasons we chose it in the first place.
We intend this to be our go to hotel in Pitlochry next time we visit.

Very beautiful building inside and out. Felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel with the modern decor in the rooms. Staff were very lovely. Location couldn't be better it was right on the main road, meant we could have a pint when we arrived and walk 2 mins back. Breakfast was very very tasty
Fantastic hotel with amazing staff. They were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and the views from the conservatory are gorgeous. Would absolutely stay again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel in Pitlochry.
Come for the brilliant hard court tennis courts, great swimming pool and jacuzzi, proximity to Pitlochry and the beautiful woodland trails next to the hotel, including the black spout waterfall and lastly the beautiful grounds. Rooms were really clean.
Easy check in. 5 minute walk from the train station and right on the Main Street in Pitlochry. Friendly hosts. Great home-cooked hot breakfast. The room was small but we enjoyed the front sitting room. Beautiful landscaped yard with picnic tables.

Room was very roomy and nice. Breakfast was good and included in price. Location is amazing, right in downtown Pitlochry! The medieval look of the hotel is so cool. Pool is warm and sauna was nice. They have a steam room as well.
Breakfast was excellent, hotel had its own pool, sauna and steam room, and the staff were really helpful. The hotel is 2 minutes away from the main street in Pitlochry, couldn't be better located. Also loads of parking available.
The property was lovely and modern. Very clean and comfortable. Two lovely bedrooms. One with en-suite. Very close to the high st in Pitlochry. Will definitely be back. James was excellent with his communication.
Practically everything was great. Facilities super clean, the staff nice. There were some people in the common area, so I imagine you could meet people there. Location is superb in the center of Pitlochry.
This is a great hotel for a visit to Pitlochry. Everything is within easy walking distance. Great breakfast included. Room was a decent size & had just been re-done, walk in shower - felt very spacious.
Loved the hosts, the setting, their home and fabulous breakfast. Pitlochry is a charming Scottish town worthy of a visit and a stay at the Derrybeg B & B was a highlight of our trip.
