We stayed in a King room, which was nice and roomy with a little seating area with comfortable chairs. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was great. The room and bathroom were very clean. The staff was very welcoming and professional. The breakfast was very good with a chef on hand to cook eggs or omelettes. The location was convenient, close to town, with plenty of free parking.

The hotel was as shown in the photo- the rooms. The Stone House is not actually what you rent here, there is a classic U shaped cluster of rooms around the Stone house that you reside in. These are typical budget rooms. It is clean, has the basics inside. Nothing fancy. Basic room, NO BED BUGS, NO ROACHES (I looked).
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Hampton Inn & Suites Truro, NS offers accommodation in Truro. Every room is equipped with a TV. Each room comes with a private bathroom.

The breakfast was delicious - and very filling. The extra nice touch was that it was served on silver platters, etc. The whole place had a welcoming atmosphere- a very beautifully renovated older home. The hosts were very gracious.

This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place. The town has great restaurants and is easy to navigate. The people are friendly and helpful.
The roads could use a little work on them.
Thai Express and Mezza where good for tasty fast food.
The British Cafe was great with very friendly staff and you could take your dog to the outdoor patio.

Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
Ruth is a great host, very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the local area and Canada in general. The breakfast was super. The garden is nice. Even though it is a shared accommodation, there is a good deal of privacy, as the bathroom and bedroom are behind a door. The night we stayed, the other room had no guests, btw. Ruth has a friendly older dog, so if you like furry friends that could be a bonus.
The location is nice -- in a residential area but very close to Truro and the Tidal Discovery Site. Truro is a small city.
Fairy comfortable and pleasant overnight. Justin and Jenny are wonderful hosts. We had great conversations. She made us a wonderful breakfast. They are located in a residential area a couple minutes from the center of Truro. There are two restaurants nearby that I recommended. The room was clean and comfortable. About an hour to drive to Burndtcove provincial park to see the tide. Better to stay in town because in the countryside they did not seem to be many places to have dinner.
The location was great, just a short drive to the Main Street where there were restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious, all home-made. The beds were very comfortable and the attached bathrooms were large and well stocked. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We wished we would have booked more time there. We would recommend The Baker’s Chest without hesitation to anyone coming to Truro.
Amazing Staff, the front desk manager was super helpful.
The breakfast was amazing and there was great option from everything.
The rooms and overall the hotel were very clean, and tidy. The bed and the pillows were super comfy.
We stayed at this motel after completing our trip around Cape Breton. It is conveniently located at Truro, a good stop between Cape Breton and PEI. It is easy to find, and the stay was great. The room is quite new and clean.
This is truly a home away from the home. We wish we could stay longer! The hosts cooked fresh breakfast for us in a formal dining room using fine china sets. It was the best breakfast we have ever had, coming with lodging.
The staff were very accommodating for our need for a very late check in and a very early checkout. The room was clean and more modern than I was expected. I would happily stay again if I was in Truro.
Good location in our bike route and near classic downtown area museum and Library. Pizza and wrap from restaurant were good. Nice breakfast buffet at the Best Western across the street.
Good value for money and... we could have seen the tidal bore from our hotel if we didn't have to rush off on our next adventure. Chairs were set up outside to assist with this.
The owners were helpful and very pleasant. They were a pleasure to meet. The hotel was clean and close to the freeway. The chairs on the hill were fun, too.
