Free upgrade to Apartment in the main hotel. Very modern room, but loft stairs were so steep they were scary! Best bed so far in 2 weeks of travelling.
Boasting a bar, ROOMERS is set in Maribor in the Podravje region, 1.2 km from Maribor Train Station and 26 km from Ehrenhausen Castle.

The place of Roomers is really good, you can find many attractions and restaurants in few minutes walking.
We had some extra needs bacuase of our bikes but the host was helpfull and supported us.
Located in downtown Maribor, a few metres from Drava River, this hotel offers free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour front desk. Maribor’s ski lift is just 6 km away.

Large room overlooking the river. Clean and comfortable, ideal location for exploring the city and river scene.
Exceptional dining in the rooftop restaurant.
Enjoying a picturesque location at the foothills of Pohorje close to ski slopes and surrounded by nature, Hotel Arena is a 10-minute drive from the centre of Maribor.
The city is great! Small but has everything, very clean, friendly people, great places! In 4 months I visited it 3 times and I have already booked the next trip to Maribor. There is definitely something to see in each of the seasons!

I was not very impressed by Maribor.
I was not very impressed by Maribor. I had stopover here for one night during business trip. The historic center of the city is small, you can walk through it within an hour. Other parts of the city have typical socialist architecture from the time of Yugoslavia, which alternates with modern buildings. There are not many monuments or landmarks here. I definitely recommend visiting Ljubljana more if you choose cities in Slovenia to visit.

I like the city a lot - it was my second stay on the way to Slovenia and Croatia. City is very nice, clean and green. there are historical buildings, great bridge. we visited VINAG winery - in the center, with the dungeons below one of the squares.

Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite.
Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite. The limited history is not looked after and presented well, for example the Pyramid hill has the remnants of a 12th century castle on top but it is completely overgrown with weeds and is not accessible. The grapevines on the pyramid hill are all dead and overgrown with weeds so its an unsightly walk to the top. The old town is nice but small and the side streets have been tagged heavily. Its not their fault, they were bombed heavily in the war so much of it has been lost. One day is plenty to have a look around Maribor on your way to somewhere else...

What a nice place Maribor is; a walkable centre with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, and good cafes and bakeries for breakfast, We had a good dinner on the terrace at Ancora on Jurciceva ulica, which we were actually sent to by the helpful waiter at Papagayo on Gosposka ulica, because they do a lot of gluten-free stuff, including good pizzas; being directed somewhere by someone from a rival establishment is not something that happens every day. There's a great ice cream place just at the south end of Stari most and good beer and cocktails at the places down on the riverfront.

We were in the theatre Lutkovno gledališče.
We were in the theatre Lutkovno gledališče. MB has excellent shows for children. The language doesn't matter, you can understand👏👏👏
Guided tour is not too Long, stopped on the bank od River Drava. Walking, taking bus ...you can get all you wish.
The location was very good, close to a beautiful city park and not far from the city center. It's also always nice when parking is available and included in price, like here. We received several informative videos on how to get to the apartment, which was useful. This duplex apartment was nicely renovated and furnished. Fully equipped kitchen, big screen TV, fast internet, cute balcony. It was supposed to be the best apartment on our three-day trip through Slovenia, after Bled and Ljubljana, however...
Although the house doesn't look so great from the outside, the room is very nicely furnished and quite spacious. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. The kitchen is shared and well equipped for cooking. Place was very clean. You can park on the premises behind the gate. No keys for rooms but codes for main door, floor and rooms (you have to remember it but you can't loose keys). Location is not far from city center. Around 15 min walk, I guess.
Super clean, everything new, good attention to details & customer friendly,in the city center, silent at night, comfortable beds, room just as in the pictures, very tasty and nicely presented breakfast. Books and games for children and adults.
Special thanks to Ksenija for the warm welcome, recommendation and personalized breakfast preparation.
Hotel has a big plus, being in Maribor is a good pit stop when travelling from Poland to southern Croatia. It has free parking and is not in the city center, thus you do not lose time to check in/find slots when travelling a few hours more than usual. People hired really nice, getting water for your journey ahead nice. Solid breakfast.
I first stayed in this hotel/hostel about 17 years ago, and it was good then and it's good now. Great value for money for a city centre hotel, particularly as all the other hotels in the centre of Maribor are way overpriced for what you get. Overall it is a nice, comfortable hotel with excellent staff and customer service.
This is the best tranquil hostel I've been in so far. I didn't expect this. The reason may be that it's a part of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, the location is perfect and value exceeds the price. If you want a quiet and comfortable place in the city's heart, this is the right place for you.
perfect and probably the best small hotel in the Maribor. Directly in the city center. We appreciatted eco character of the breakfast- as there was little staff of meal as cheese, ham, yogurt and than you could order eggs as you wish- beautiful omelette, scrambled eggs etc..
Great place to stay around Maribor when you want to avoid hotel in the city center. They were very accommodating for additional requests too - waited for us when we were running late for check in and added vegan options for breakfast (food was homemade and really nice).
Excellent hotel with free parking, very cozy and nicely decorated rooms, and great staff! I liked cappuccino and tea and kettle in the room.
We enjoyed our stay and City Map Hotel will be our choice on our next visit to Maribor. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely perfect for the price, the rooms were spacious and clean, kitchen was well equipped, the hosts were always available for help. It is located on one of the best spots in the city, right in the center.
The hostel is conveniently located close to the Drava cycle path and is at a walking distance from the city center. The room was very affordable, comfortable and clean. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Best place for family and friends, amazing staff, renewed hotel, all in very good condition, amazing location, very quate place, must go to the spa, prices are also sweet
