Galveston was beautiful and interesting. Boat tours for dolphin watching and sunset tour were amazing (except both tours were cut short). Lots of great places to dine. Museums were absolutely amazing. Traveling was easy to all the places we wanted to see. The ferry to other islands is an adventure you must see. Be sure when you book a hotel that you don't get one that has hidden fees like the Clarion.

I took my grandkids down so they could go on a cruise. Stayed 1 night but it was wonderful, except for the weather. Too windy & rainy, but we were able to get out & walk a little. The grandkids walked along the beach & gathered sea shells.

I love the small town feel with so much to do. Be careful where you stay. There are some good deals on hotels, but, check the reviews before you book your room.
There are so many beaches that you have good access to.
We are motorcycle riders. There is a really cool bar on the beach called Woody's. Great views, friendly bar tenders.
We ate at Doc Holiday's. The food was phenomenal. Try their pulled pork burger! You better be hungry.
There are a lot of cool places to party right across the street from the beach.

If you are staying at the hotel, wait until check-in to buy passes for attractions. Paid parking is not really worth it. Free Parking lot is literally a few steps away. Plan your experience to correspond with movie times. Shearns is awesome. Ashame you cannot check in until after 4.
The view of the ocean was great, and the location was good. Not as busy as the more touristy area to the east. Our room was very large, and spacious.
Breakfast included was super. Pretty busy at breakfast time, but we managed to have a table every day. There was a pair of people who I would consider to be food hoarders, which disturbed me a bit, because of the wastefulness of it. It costs the hotel money which eventually gets passed down to the more considerate people in the end.
My travel partner and I decided to do a vacation trip of all the costal cities and we started in Galveston at the Beachfront Palms. I paid a little extra for what the hotel calls a partial view of the ocean. Seriously, it's all the view one needs. I took the room on the 4th floor because I'm a photographer and I wanted an unobstructed of the ocean. lol.. The 4th floor put me in line with the tops of trees and electric polls ..;)
A very well-located hotel from which to explore Galveston. The staff were brilliant and friendly and the room very comfortable and clean. A good, cooked breakfast was a surprise and very welcome. Parking was excellent and with a very good supermarket located right next door, a perfect stay for sure. Very good value for money, these guys are trying hard, well done.
Inside facility was nice. Staff not very friendly or knowledgeable. Never told had to pay for parking. Pictures on website is not what hotel grounds look like. Tried to charge me for purchases that I didn’t make. Was told we had complimentary breakfast before we arrived but that wasn’t true. I will never return to Galveston again.
Great location close to all the hot spots in Galveston, Dog friendly, nice pool area, staff was exceptional, rooms were very nice and super clean. Was a little worried bc most dog friendly hotels are either super expensive or not nice at all but the faculty was super nice. Well worth the cost
Felt right at home from the moment we stepped in the hotel. Love the view of the water from the rooms balcony. Going to the beach was a breeze just across the street. Good hot breakfast. Free self parking is awesome! I can't wait to get back to Galveston to stay here again!
Room location and staff were excellent. Merry was very courteous and helpful. Valet was excellent and hotel held our bags after checkout so that we could attend granddaughter’s award assembly.Would recommend and stay again when in Galveston.
Breakfast was very good as was the dining room. The options changed daily, all delicious.
The hotel is in an excellent location for walking around the Galveston town. Make sure you tap into Rick and Kathy's local knowledge.
You can't beat the value for the location. Also, it's the quietest hotel (in this price range) that I've found so far in Galveston. The staff are always happy to assist & there's plenty of parking.
Excellent hotel, depending on the room its possible to have a seaview, large, clean, decent wifi and shower. Staff very nice, its a good choice for Galveston!
