I don’t often give a perfect 10 to a property, but to be honest, if I could, I’d give this property a 12. An old stone building in the heart of Ourense, beautifully and sympathetically restored, it has everything one needs for a short or long stay. I love seeing these old buildings repurposed. An unprepossessing wooden door (with a clever but simple to use virtual key) opens onto a flag stone floored lobby. The entrance is level access and it was easy to wheel my 91-year-old mother to the lift. There are bright yellow umbrellas waiting for guests to use when the inevitable Ourense rain comes and, when we visited, a sparkling Christmas tree in one corner. Below is a private garage (saving around 15euro a day in parking). The two-bed apartment we rented had two spacious en-suite double rooms plus an additional bathroom, a big living/dining/kitchen and more space than most homes. Underfloor heating keeps the place cosy whilst the full-length double-glazed windows retain the features of the original historic building with wooden shutters. The kitchen is very well equipped with coffee maker, microwave, toastie maker, fryer and blender to name a few. There was a welcome pack of wine, chocolates, water and a basket of fruit. The sofas and beds were comfortable and the showers large and level access.

Our stay at Piso Estación Termal II was absolutely perfect! The apartment was spotless, beautifully remodeled, and equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the care and attention to detail that went into making this a truly comfortable and welcoming space. The location is also fantastic! The Termas da Chavasqueira are just a 7-minute walk away, and the scenic riverside promenade along the Miño is an absolute must. Strolling along the river is a beautiful experience, and it’s a great way to discover other thermal baths in the area. For those traveling by bus or train, the apartment is incredibly convenient—just two blocks from the station. Esther, the host, went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. She was incredibly kind and helpful, starting with her prompt communication when we booked, to her warm welcome upon arrival. Her local tips and recommendations were invaluable and made our stay even more enjoyable. What truly stood out was Esther's honesty and thoughtfulness. After our departure, she contacted us to let us know we had forgotten a significant amount of money. Thanks to her quick action, we were able to return and recover it. Such integrity and generosity are rare and deeply appreciated. We can't recommend Piso Estación Termal II highly enough! It’s a place where you’ll feel cared for, relaxed, and completely at ease. I don't know where to start from... everything was so good I just want to shout out how amazing everything was. The owner or manager just perfect. Always there, always responsive, kind and happy. The check in happens via mobile app, super easy. The flat is new, big, modern, clean and there is a lot of light. The beds are so comfy, I slept so well. Big fridge, washing machine, everything that you can possibly need is there. You are in the center of the city, super close to supermarket, restaurants, bar, river and culture.
