This apartment is amazing. Everything is well thought out and super clean. The panoramic views from different sides are stunning. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, which is very convenient. The owners also have a stable with cute horses. Overall, it's a great place.

Due to weather conditions, our travel plans had to change and found this place last minute. The host was very nice and accommodating. The villa was fantastic. I wish I found this place sooner and stayed longer. Very spacious and clean. Close to Selfoss. Beautiful view, isolated and private. Got to meet the horses and pet them too. I very highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely stay here. Although remote, it was conveniently located for Landmannalaugar, Hella and the surrounding area. You need a 4x4 to access via gravel roads, but then that is what makes the place so special (gravel roads were well maintained when compared to the highlands - photo in review). Photos do not accurately represent the cottages... They are much nicer in person!

The location was remote and absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the mountains. There were horses in the pasture, sheep greeted us on the drive in and a mama bird was nesting on her eggs along the gravel road to the property. The neighbors had posted a stake in the ground to announce her presence and protect her from traffic. All this peace, yet we were very close to the main road and less than 5 minutes to the town of Hella where we picked up groceries and went out to dinner. Svetlana and her husband are absolutely lovely people. She had a Ukrainian speciality waiting for us on the table in the kitchen when we arrived, a plateful of the most delicious treats- like a cross between an American pancake and love. She offered to show us how to make this on the morning we checked out, bringing us into her kitchen and sending us on our way with a plateful of warm goodies and great stories we will remember. Her husband was equally charming and we would love to have talked to both of them for days. If you love dogs, be sure to ask to meet Stella. She's a good girl!

The experience was very unique. For a few days we got to live in a cabin (with all conveniences of a modern world like a dishwasher, coffea maker, Wi-Fi and even Netflix) located in the middle of icelandic wilderness. It was a perfect combination. Breathtaking views, crystal clean air, quietness and privacy. The cabin location offers a perfect, unobstructed view in every direction. We were lucky enough to experience Northern Lights 3 nights in the row. A perfect base for a golden circle touring. Just make sure every day to leave the cabin a little earlier than planned - you just have to have time to play with the dogs :)
