Self Catering Accommodation in Vilanculos

This is a true paradise for the adventurous traveller who wants to experience the real Mozambique! We loved our spacious clean beach bungalow with lovely shady deck from which we could see the sea through the palm trees! It was 100m from the sand. All staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Fernando brought us coconuts and opened them. Dalton is an incredibly kind and hospitable host. He recommended local restaurants that we loved - no menu sometimes, just go with the flow! There is no restaurant at Villancool but we enjoyed walking up to Baobab for breakfast and then back to the tranquility of Villancool. Our sunset Dhow safari was an absolutely highlight - a really traditional timber boat with old school sailing. Dalton can organise activities including kite surfing. We loved our time here. If you want luxury surroundings, room service, fast wifi and all that, this is probably not the place for you but to appreciate a friendly community in very comfortable accommodation, I highly recommend it. The location is awesome. Facilities are perfect for families and groups. The staff is amazing. We were very supported by Zubaida and Jorge, enjoying the great drinks of Mr. Boaventura, and a nice day at Bazaruto with the sailors, Cremildo and Arnaldo. The bedding are special spetacular. Hard do wake up.

The resort was lovely. Priscilla and Kirsty were super helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. The gardens were beautiful and the Casas well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The food was also very good. For trips to the islands, we used Sunset Dhow and Wild Africa. Not to be missed is a horseride on the beach with Mozambique Horse Safaris - really outstanding

The place is like paradise, the chalet is very well organised and beautiful. Linda is a great host, absolutely recommended! Vilankulo is amazing, enjoy your stay and visit the islands nearby! Super comfy bed despite a bit too narrow.
