The 4-star By The Sea Resort is located in the centre of Port Douglas, next to Four Mile Beach and just a 2-minute walk from the restaurants along Macrossan Street. All apartments come with full kitchen facilities and many also have sea views. Great staff, very good location and free equipment hire. Felt like home!

Laundry facilities and covered parking are also provided. The apartment is a two minute walk to 4 mile beach. It is located on the Main Street of Port Douglas but is very quiet. The apartment is large with a separate bedroom. The living room has a couch plus a dining table with chairs. The kitchen had everything I needed. There was a bbq area downstairs that I used a couple of times to grill steaks from Malones Butcher Shop. There is a free laundry room with three washers and dryers. The pool was refreshing on the muggy days. I booked two tours through the apartment and I was happy with both. My airport shuttle pick up was scheduled for noon. Normally, check out time is 10 am but they let me stay in the apartment until the shuttle arrived at noon. Sonia and Robin were great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay in a 2-bedroom swim-out apartment, which was perfect for our family. The space was thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a little further out of town, but we appreciated the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A real highlight was the excellent café just a short walk away, serving delicious breakfast and lunch with beautiful river views—we went every day. We also loved relaxing on our patio each afternoon and stepping straight into the pool.

The apartment was very nice and comfortable in a good location to walk to the main street or the beach very easily. It was nice to have space to spread out and to cook our own meals.
