The surrounding vibe was lively yet charming, with historic streets and attractions all around. I really appreciated how easy it was to get around without needing transport.

Situated within less than 1 km of Camera Obscura and World of Illusions and a 11-minute walk of The Real Mary King's Close in Edinburgh, Destiny Scotland New Town Apartments features accommodation with a kitchen. Featuring private parking, the apartment is 800 metres from Edinburgh Castle. The property is 400 metres from the city centre and 500 metres from Royal Mile. We stayed in one bedroom, it's a huge size apartment with a very big bathroom. Great location, 10 minutes walk from the old town. It was very clean. Impeccable kitchen even though we didn't use it. Easy check in using only codes (no physical keys required). Apartment had lifts which is great if you have lots of luggage. Few points: Bath tub was a bit high, could potentially be an issue for children or eldery people TV in the living room is extremely small, suggest they could upgrade to a bigger one for even better experience You will have to do 3 steps down and 3 steps up to get to the lifts. For people with mobility issues could be a challenge.

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. What a lovely property. The studio was spacious and well lit. It was sufficiently stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Everything was clean and beds were super comfy. The private garden was the highlight. Also, although a bit further from the city, which shouldn’t be a problem even if you don’t have a car since cabs are easily available, it was right across the road from the loch. The farm right outside the cottages was lovely. Peaceful location.

A microwave, a toaster and fridge are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the aparthotel, the units are equipped with bed linen and towels. We walked in and I was already ready to come back. Leith is charming and quiet and it’s easy to access the city center via bus or tram. The apartment was gorgeous and spacious. Great for our family of 3, and would work for 4 as well. Hosts were lovely and we were greeted with light snacks. We will be back and will definitely recommend to friends.
