We spend seven days in a road trip in Iceland, we’ve been to five different hotels and guest houses, and Lara is by far the best one we stayed.

This was our first time in Iceland, and the location was ideal for us. The neighborhood is quiet and within easy walking distance to restaurants. There’s a bus stop close by, and it is only a few minutes walk to a bus stop hub to pick up a bus going in any direction. The apartment was warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with a large frying pan, covered saucepan, toaster, kettle, and a coffee maker. There is a good-sized refrigerator and dishwasher. There are two grocery stores you can walk to in under 5 minutes. There are also two coffee shops close by (one with mango tea made with real mango). The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is beautiful. The host provided instructions with the codes needed to get in and other information to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family.

It did feel like we were in an industrial section of town but there was a hotel next door that had great food and service at the restaurant. I believe it was called Eyja.

If you drive right twice (U) after you enter the parking lot you can park in front of the door of the building, which is very convenient.
