Location was great to see attractions as well as groceries. We loved all the interesting old pieces that decorated the home along with the homemade crafts for sale. This is an old building that has been repurposed so it’s unique.

Clearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth. A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.

It was a last minute booking, but I was lucky to find this place. The whole big apartment for myself for very reasonable money. I enjoyed the kitchenette a lot, it was my first stay when I could heat up my food. Great apartment!
