On this trip, my Japanese friend from Seattle joined me—it was her very first time in Korea. I wanted her to experience something truly authentic, and staying in Jeonju Hanok Village was at the top of my list. I chose Jahayoen Hanok Stay, and it was absolutely perfect. The hanok was originally built in 1923 and has been beautifully remodeled, so it kept all the charm while still being clean, comfortable, and modern. The owner was wonderfully attentive and personally greeted us for both check-in and check-out, which made the stay feel even more special. The location is excellent—close to everything yet peaceful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience a traditional Korean house with comfort and warmth.

We got sat down and shown a map with directions to bus stops we can use and restaurants we can go to. They made sure we knew how to get to their accommodation, that we were comfortable and that we knew how to go to the KTX station. They are a big reason of why we enjoyed our stay in Jeonju, and we will definitely come back should we have another opportunity to visit Korea again. As for the room, it was exceptionally clean and well maintained. A beautiful hanok that we found comfortable to stay in.

Cosy and comfortable (even in winter) yet traditional! The host was very friendly, responsive and accommodating.

It is a very modern hanok meant for 4 pax at least.. nice bedroom with 2 single beds and an attached bathroom, sitting area with small kitchenette & another tea sitting area with another bathroom ! There is also a hidden staircase to go upstairs and it is good for 2 kids to sleep up there.. Very pleasant owner who welcomed us warmly and frankly years back, we also stayed in their other traditional hanok which is just next to Naru! We really had a great time again n its just 5mins or least into the Hanok Village with lots of restaurants & cafes!! Highly recommended to anyone thinking of visiting Jenoju Hanok Village!

Air-conditioning was large standing unit in the living room. Need fan in the rooms otherwise u need to keep your room doors open. It's was not an issue with us.
