In my opinion, this is the best place you can stay in Tangalle. It is located a little bit outside the center so calmer but still close enough so that within 5 minutes, you are in town if you wish to. Two of the most beautiful beaches of the area (Silent Beach and Goyambokka Beach) are within walking distance. The place itself is absolutely great. It's a beautiful house with the hosts living on ground floor and the rooms/apartments on 2nd and 3rd floor. They are very spacious and equipped with everything you need, both for a short vacation or for a longer term stay. The beds are comfortable and the mattresses have standard US/European length, so your feet won't stick out. The AC works properly and in addition there is a fan. The WiFi is perfectly stable and fast enough even for video calls. The bathroom is clean and designed in such a way so that you can take a shower without the entire floor being wet for hours. The host and his family are very friendly and welcoming. His English is very good which makes communication easy, and he replies very quickly. They offer food at their place and rent out scooters. Given the price all of this is offered to us as guests, this place definitely deserves a 10 star review. I have already recommended coming here to friends and am certain you will be happy staying here either.

This is incredibly perfect place for a family that is managing by super nice family (thank you so much Anusha for all your kindness). The villa is cozy and has everything you need, the rooms are very comfortable and pool is amazing. The villa is located near the pound where you can watch different birds and even alligators. We were not much disturbed by insect and reptilians but at the same time you are in the centre of nature. The managing family is happy to provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner for a very good price, we enjoyed it a lot. Definitely would come back

Our stay at 701 Mawella Villa was absolutely wonderful! The villa offers excellent facilities, everything spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared. The swimming pool was crystal clear and surrounded by a peaceful tropical garden. The host, Shashi, was incredibly friendly and supportive, always ready to help and make our stay stress-free. The free kayaking on the calm Mawella Lagoon was magical, with tropical birds and a stunning sunset view over the water. The villa is perfectly located, just a 2-minute walk to Mawella Beach, which is clean, quiet, and ideal for swimming or walks. Our kids loved the sport and play items, and we appreciated the baby crib, Wi-Fi, and daily cleaning. Every part of this villa from the garden and pool to the beach and lagoon created a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. Truly one of the best stays in Sri Lanka — we can’t wait to return!

There is literally nothing else we could have ask for this place heaven in earth. But that’s just the house itself what have make this trip unforgettable , the Staff Randi our main host is an amazing man who have been taking care of us from minute one . The rest of the staff are always looking to make your trip as easy as possible from giving you welcoming drinks to have you hop in this tuk-tuk to show you his beloved city . If you are in Yala this place is a must.

Our one-night stay at this villa was truly enjoyable. The property is only about 100 meters from the beach, so it was easy to walk over and enjoy the sea breeze whenever we wanted. The villa itself is very spacious, nicely designed, and kept very clean. It offered a perfect mix of comfort and privacy. The large swimming pool was the highlight — sparkling clean, well-maintained, and big enough to really enjoy a proper swim, not just a quick dip. We spent a lot of time relaxing by the poolside, which made our stay even more special. What impressed us most was the peaceful atmosphere. The area is calm and quiet, away from crowds, yet still close enough to the beach and local surroundings. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Even though we only stayed one night, it felt like a refreshing getaway. This villa is perfect for both short and long stays, and we would definitely choose it again in the future.

Tolle Unterkunft mit 2 Schlafzimmer und einem Pool Es liegt ein wenig weg von der Hauptstraße daher sehr ruhig, perfekt zum relaxen. Der strand ist nicht weit weg, wir haben alles zu Fuß besucht Der Besitzer bzw sein Vater ist mega nett. Wir wurden mit einem welcome snack sowie frisch gemachten Saft willkommen begrüßt. Da wir eine lange Anreise hatten, hat er dann sogar noch Abendessen für uns besorgt. Wir waren eine Gruppe von Solo Traveller und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

My wife and I spent unforgettable days at the Eco Oasis Villa in Tangalle. I would call this place a perfect villa for romantic getaways — a true gift for the soul and body, nestled near the jungle, far from the road, surrounded by peace and quiet. The villa is located in a serene, secluded area, just a short walk from the beautiful Goyambokka Beach — just a few minutes' leisurely stroll and you find yourself on a superb beach with calm waters, which is quite rare for this coastline. This is our third year in the southern part of Sri Lanka, and what impressed us the most was that we felt like guests of the local flora and fauna — it was mesmerizing. We saw mongooses, peacocks, monkeys, and monitor lizards. The accommodation itself is cozy and stylish, decorated in a national eco-style with great attention to detail. High ceilings and panoramic windows! The tropical stone shower is spacious and beautifully designed. Everything was clean, spacious, and very thoughtfully arranged. We especially loved the lush green garden surrounding the villa — it felt like living in the middle of the jungle, but with all the comforts, especially with the lovely veranda. The host, Dilith, is incredibly hospitable and kind, speaks excellent English (which is rare here), and helped us with everything we needed. He arranged airport transfer for an extra fee, recommended great places nearby, and even treated us to fresh fruit and coconuts! If you're looking for a place to completely relax, feel connected to nature, and still enjoy comfort — Eco Oasis in Tangalle is the perfect choice. I also rented a Mahindra scooter from him for a reasonable price — it rides like a ship on the road, heavy and very stable. The powerful air conditioner, smart switches, and multi-function shower really surprised me. The blender, toaster, and both gas and electric stove were also very useful.
