I stayed at Kaori B&B on 15th Oct 2025 for one night, in the Standard Double/Twin Room. Kaori B&B is one of the best hostels I have stayed in! The location was fantastic, 3min walk to the Chishang train station, next door to a supermarket, next door to Family Mart convenience store (24hr), 1min walk from the night market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and close to many restaurants and eating places. The room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. It was on the third floor and there was a lift. There were also many small things that showed the hostel was thinking about guests; such as a free minibar, free bicycles (which was useful to cycle to Dapo pond (5mins) and brown boulevard (20mins), free vouchers/discounts at selected partners such as restaurants and shops, slippers for the room, and a balcony with a washing machine and area to dry clothes. There was also a cooking stove and kitchen sink (which I did not use). The bed was also slightly firmer which was great! Had small issue when using the self-check in kiosk (scanner was not working), but gave the staff a call on the phone and they arrived within 2mins. Before arriving, the hostel sent an email with a code to enter the reception area (which is not always manned), and there is a sign in the reception area with information on how to contact the staff. Staff were friendly and helpful and gave tips on things to do and places to eat. While slightly more expensive than other alternatives in the area, it was worth every penny and perhaps more! Would definitely stay here again!

The homestay provides some units that have a terrace, and the units include a kettle. At the homestay, units have bed linen and towels. This is an amazing Guesthouse. It’s very new, is in a stunning location that may be the best in Luye. The rooms are huge, the styling is lovely, and it’s like a full service apartment with everything you could possibly want. We were on the top floor, and the view from our room was serene and beautiful. The other thing that I loved is that the bed was huge, and after 1 month in Taiwan it was the only Guesthouse we’ve stayed in where the bed was long enough for my feet to not hang off the end the end of the bed (my height is 6 ft 2 in).

Located within 5.1 km of Taitung Night Market and 3.1 km of National Museum of Prehistory, Cong Sen Backpackers Hostel provides rooms in Taitung City. The property is situated 3.4 km from Kangle Railway Station, 4.3 km from Beinan Cultural Park and 4.7 km from Liyushan Park. Every room is equipped with a terrace with city views and free WiFi. The hostel is simple, clean and friendly. The host (Shaun) was so nice. I immediately felt welcome and was introduced to some of the other guests, who I ended up getting dinner with. Any hostel can give you a bed, this one gave me a fantastic experience and some lovely friends. thank you Shaun.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 19 km from Taitung Night Market. Gotta be the best hostel in Taiwan. Nick is the heart and soul of this place, and you can feel this spark in all the guests who are staying here. He also took us all for a canyoning trip. I extended for 5 nights total and would have loved to stay more. Awesome music all day long, free breakfast, three cute kitties...
