Everything about this hotel was of an exceptionally high standard. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed with an attention to detail second to none. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly & helpful staff and the overall atmosphere was warm & inviting, with the aroma of scented candles & soft lighting. The food was excellent too. On checking out we were given complimentary Nusstorte (nut cake) made in-house, which was a nice touch. It’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, would highly recommend.

Thanks to its sunny and quiet location in Silvaplana-Surlej, in the heart of the Upper Engadine, only 4 km from St. Moritz, the Hotel Chesa Surlej is a great place for relaxing holidays.

This hotel was in one of the most amazing locations we have ever experienced. My son tried snowboarding for the first time and the ski school was only 80m from our hotel. This was the true definition of ski in and ski out. The hotel restaurant was exceptional, and we had dinner there every night.

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to respond to questions and help us out. The rooms were really comfortable and had excellent bathrooms. They had emailed us before to find out the configuration of the rooms so it was great to find that our kids had a twin bedroom and not a double that often happens. You get a pass for the local transport with the hotel which was fantastic so we could travel around on the buses for free. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options for us to choose from. The hotel has access via its own underground tunnel to the local swimming pool with a fantastic outside heated pool. It wasn't too busy when we were there and a real treat for us and our daughter. They even arranged a free shuttle bus to the station on our last day which was brilliant.
