The location is perfect, offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal base for hiking and exploring the Atlas Mountains. The atmosphere was calm and authentic, far removed from anything touristy, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the beauty of the region. The food was excellent—dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, while breakfast was fresh, hearty, and the perfect way to start the day. Every meal felt homemade with love. One of the true highlights for us was the resident cats, Gaga and Sofinia. They were so friendly and affectionate, making the stay even more special. Even though the evenings were chilly, we were provided with plenty of blankets, and it actually added to the charm of the experience. The entire place was spotlessly clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained—we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Between my partner and I, we’ve stayed in countless hotels and accommodations around the world, and we can honestly say that Tonaroz House is one of the best places we’ve ever experienced. If you’re looking for authentic Berber hospitality, stunning landscapes, and a peaceful retreat, this is the place. We wholeheartedly recommend it and would return in a heartbeat! 10/10 – an absolutely magical stay. 🏔️✨

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the region (it’s just a few kilometers from Imlil). The rooms are clean and radiate the atmosphere of the mountains—colors, wood, Berber carpets… And then there’s the view from the room—simply breathtaking! This village and its surroundings are truly magical. At first, the owner seemed a bit reserved and distant, but he turned out to be incredibly charming. Since it was Ramadan and all the restaurants were closed, he went with us to the store, prepared a kind of oatmeal for us, and even lit the fire. It ended up being the simplest evening of our trip (the electricity even went out 🙂), but far from the least cozy! I will definitely come back here. Next time, we hope to climb Toubkal with him, as he also turns out to be an excellent guide. Highly recommended!
