This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

This hotel exceeded all our expectations - the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Providing the very best in customer service & having an attention to detail that is second to none is clearly their priority. We were thrilled to receive an upgrade upon arrival & the junior suite allocated was absolutely beautiful! The hotel is immaculate & in an amazing position - just a two minute walk from The Duomo. We even purchased the Acqua di Elba room fragrance on display in the reception area just to remind us upon our return home & were delighted to receive some free samples & a small gift as a result of mentioning the hotel at the shop. Overall we found it a perfect one from the price/quality ratio perspective. 20 rooms in the hotel so it always felt relaxed and not overcrowded. A perfect location if you travel by car. Nor in the very centre neither too far away from the main attractions. It also felt good to walk back to the hotel in the evening after lunch. But it is some 20 mnutes walk. A very good SPA. The staff is very attentive and welcoming.
