Best location for Matera sightseeing. Close to any of historical place you have to see, to any of nice restaurants you have to try. It’s very romantic especially in the night. If you have a car(rental car) with you, by the way, Matera is also great location for visiting other Puglia cities such as Alberobello.

This place is phenomenal! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The entire property is high quality, renovated with great taste. The hosts were extra kind and helpful, sharing superb guidance on the best way to explore Matera (which were extremely helpful and saved us a lot of efforts and time ensuring we don't miss anything) , as well as great advice on restaurants. The breakfast was exceptional : all home-made and delicious. Definitely a place we'd like to come back to for a longer stay :) . Recommend !

Discovering Matera is discovering human history and since the moment we stepped in Moyseion our historical journey became reality. The concept of Moyseion, unique in its genre, was an experience, starting with the welcome at check/in surrounded by mosaics, the perfumes of ancient essences and spices. We were enchanted by the storytelling of the in/house archeologist who explained us the decor and the meaning of each design piece in the bacheca collection. The room in a minimal design allowed us to fully feel in a time capsule, but with the comforts of the 21 century. The Pool experience is something unforgettable as the breakfast with music and performances while tasting a unique and well studied menu. We loved every second of our time in Moyseion and we want to thank the staff for their welcoming and attention.

Cool, super important in Matera’s hot August weather. Comfortable, spacious, and the pool is obviously incredible. (The temperature can’t be changed, it’s like a lightly warm tub. Still refreshing)

Our room was very spacious and the terrace was wonderful. Location was great, in the heart of the historic center. Staff at the reception, Ivana, Betty and Leonardo were so, so, nice and helpful with information and all we needed. Mario was an unforgetable help with our 2 suitcases! I can't imagine the more beautiful place to stay in Matera. Great experience, overwhelming views, everything nearby in short walking distance. Yes, you should park outside the old town, but its plenty of parking spots in moderate distance. Best recomendations!
