Pretty modern property which is great for a quite gateway. It has a good and considerably sized pool which makes the price tag a steal. Also the caretaker is very friendly as well as the breakfast is so good and has many varieties. Also there is parking facilities in the premises. Would recomend to anyone who likes a quite gayway out of the city.

Relaxing, Immaculate, comfortable and remote enough to give the sense of being in the trees whilst still being near the coast. The staff were amazing, the food extremely tasty and will certainly visit again. The bedrooms were spacious, bathroom lush with great water pressure.

What a gem of a place to stay. From the moment we arrived Kumudu and team couldn’t do enough for us. A taxi transfer from Colombo airport to Galle was easily pre arranged and meeting the driver was slick. We stayed in a superior deluxe room with jungle view for 4 nights. Facilities great and outdoor shower lovely. There was the added personal touch of having breakfast every morning served on your own terrace. Lush planting made for secluded spaces and good to have a pool too. Although the location is slightly out of the fort it’s easily accessible using a tuk-tuk and it’s only about 40-50 minutes walk if you’re feeling energetic. Special mention needs to go to Eran, the Olive’s on site tuk-tuk driver. It was so easy and reassuring to be able to message and he’d be there to pick up/drop off within minutes. It’s also possible for him to take you further afield. We did a round trip to Koggala lake, a turtle sanctuary, tea plantation and saw stilt fishermen. An absolutely wonderful introduction to Sri Lankan hospitality and we can’t wait to return.

Firstly, I would like to mention the people working in the hotel, each and everyone. I have never met more attentive team. They'd paid attention to such small details like: request brown sugar (they did not have it at a time, but promptly arranged and provided for the rest of the stay). They have found out it was my birthday, and arranged the cake with all the hotels guests and staff wishing me a happy birthday. Breakfast was another piece of art, like a special ritual, first served with Sri Lankan coffee waiting for you just outside of your room, the rest of the is served with explanations about ingredients, high attention to details and amazing taste. We had to leave for the train at 6,00 am missing the breakfast, but surprisingly, auntie had packed up a breakfast for us to go! It was a short stay, but upon leaving, we felt we are leaving a family behind!! Location was just perfect, just few minutes away from the train station by tuktuk, in 1 minute from the hotel you can reach the cliff to watch the ocean and see some turtles. Room was clean, smelled well, hotel's rooms have amazing interior, that makes you feel living in 18th century.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying in the Fort area when visiting Galle. That being said, Fort Bazaar was the perfect place. Great service and perfect location. Bed and pillows were comfortable and shower pressure was great. Laundry service reasonable and same day. Good happy hour. Quiet for a good nights sleep. We booked a Double Bazaar Bedroom and it was a large room and only a few stairs (Room 12).

We had an amazing stay! The host was very professional, friendly, and welcoming. The location was extremely convenient, with easy access to the main road. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of privacy throughout our stay. It was also well-equipped, with clean utensils and everything we needed for a pleasant experience. Overall, it was absolutely worth the price. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to return if we visit Galle again.
