I spent three nights at Oleena Homestay and had an amazing experience. Jeewa provided great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped organise transport, and even took me on a day trip to Pidurangala and Dambulla in his tuk tuk. The home-cooked meals by Masha were absolutely delicious — a perfect introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Jeewa and Masha truly went above and beyond to take care of their guests. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Habarana and the surrounding area. Best place i have stayed in sri lanka. The room is really nice and cosy. Very clean. There is a very nice terrace where you can take breakfast, eat dinner, read a book, look at the monkeys... The owner and his family are the nicest people. He gave me lots of good advices et helped me organise some visits. He also drove me with his tuktuk. The breakfast is amazing and copious, with local food, fruits... The dinners were also very tasty. Everything was just perfect. 😊😊

Dinu and her parents were so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and they went above and beyond to help us. We checked out at 5 am, but they had breakfast takeaway ready for us.

“Woodland Sanctuary is a paradise! The wooden room was beautifully crafted, with a cozy ambiance that felt luxurious. The bathroom, made with natural rock, was a unique and calming space. Dudley and Maleesha treated us like family, ensuring we were always comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional, with fresh fruits and traditional Sri Lankan dishes. We stayed at Sun Shade Resort & it was one of the memorable Hotel stay in our life. It was a well maintained property which includes all facilities for us. Location is calm and peaceful. They have a nice infinity swimming pool overlooking lake , Staff is so welcoming and well trained. Good restaurant and good sitting places. Rooms are spacious and kept very neat and tidy. The sunset view is absolutely amazing from room and pool this hotel. Totally worth the money.
