A great place to be alone with nature, while still having all the amenities. Everything is modern and comfortable. The staff is friendly, and they made our stay very enjoyable. We were really happy to stay at this hotel, to feel the connection with nature, and swim in the pool surrounded by trees.

We stayed in this lovely home for two nights and I think that this was my favourite stay in Sri Lanka. The hosts are fantastic people, friendly and helpful and always with a smile. The rooms are simple but have everything that you need and have a lovely terrace within the beautiful gardens. But best of all is the food. We had breakfast and dinner on both days and we were served a selection of home cooked, Sri Lankan treats that were delicious. All together a fabulous experience that I’d happily pay more for.

Woodland Sanctuary exceeded all our expectations. The wooden room was cozy and stylish, with a warm, natural vibe. The stones-finished bathroom was unique and truly memorable. Dudley and Maleesha were outstanding hosts, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Breakfast by the garden was a treat, with traditional flavors and a serene view. The pool was pristine and perfect for relaxing after exploring. The peaceful atmosphere and views of the surrounding jungle made this place unforgettable.

Location wise very near to habarana town and place is very relaxing and comforting. Loved the pool and the calm environment. Rooms were clean and they serve homemade sri lankan dishes and asian chinese dishes aswell. Will be visiting soon for another long stay

What a special place this is to stay in, it was absolutely perfect. The view from the bungalow overlooking the pool with the lake in the background is fabulous, an incredibly relaxing place to stay. One of the nicest pools to swim in. Location is fantastic for enjoying a safari, or walking down to the local restaurant for dinner at the lake. We really enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning, sampling different Sri Lanka breads and pastries, the freshest fruit and equally delicious coffee. We also enjoyed a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner at sunset lovingly prepared by Sasini which I would highly recommend. Wished we could have stayed longer.
