Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen musste ich den Aufenthalt verlängern, zudem benötigte ich einen Rollstuhl. Das wurde alles sofort organisiert.

If you want to stay in the heart of the Elqui Valley and be nearly as remote as one can be while still having incredible WiFi - this is the spot! We spent one night here but should have booked more. The only tricky piece about this spot is getting here off the main road. While it isn’t a far distance you really should have 4WD. The road is tight and severe switchbacks. You also need to bring in food with you especially if you don’t have a car. Each unit is exquisitely designed to allow you to cook dinners indoors or out with a regular sized fridge and freezer to boot. To say this place is magical might be a vast understatement. We spent the late afternoon hiking up to the scenic lookout (although each unit has its own incredible views and privacy for late nights in the hot tub). We spent the next 2 hours by the pool which given how hot it is actually had cool water for swimming and lovely shaded lounge chairs. We brought in drinks and a pizza with us for our evening and it was perfect. We turned off all the lights and just sat outside watching the moon rise over the mountains as the sunset. After we spent hours soaking in the hotel tub watching more stars appear in the sky. Just magical! The interior is well appointed too with great bedding, linens, towels and vegan shower products that smelled and felt like luxury after having traveled for so long. For breakfast the following morning, we were brought a delicious selection of fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, croissants, cheese and more! Each unit it also outfitted with a tea pot, tea, a moka coffee maker and ground coffee! If we ever have the chance to come back to the Elqui Valley we will 1000% book this spot again! Also - be sure when in the area to book the 3 hours tour and wine tasting at vinedos de alcohauz! The guide essentially gave us the entire history of the area from different stops along the tour that changes in elevation 5 times! The vineyard is magnificent.

Beautiful mountain hideaway with pool. Quiet and tranquil, with birds singing . Comfortable bed. Good place to look at stars. Great breakfast prepared by Claudio who is a wonderful host.

Die Unterkunft Hacienda Santa Cristina hat einen saisonalen Außenpool, ein Fitnesscenter, einen Garten und ein Restaurant in Ovalle. The staff was wonderful! Vincent was our waiter at dinner and breakfast the next morning. He was great! We do not speak Spanish very well and he expained everthing in English. The breakfast was fabulous! It was beautiful, bountiful and delicious. Our dinner the night before was as well! We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. We wanted to stay another night but the hotel was sold out. If we are ever in that area of Chile again we will definantly be staying here!

Das Departamento Jardin del Mar La Serena ist ein Apartment zur Selbstverpflegung in La Serena und bietet einen Außenpool sowie ein Spa- und Wellnesscenter. This apartment was the perfect respite for my family of five for a couple of nights during a long travel. Everything you need is inside, the kitchen appointed with everything you’d need, water pressure and temperature in showers excellent. The main bed was extremely comfortable, the pillows top notch, and lots of good comforters as it gets quite cool in the evening. The balcony was a second living space the entire time we were there, we kept the doors open almost always to catch the gorgeous sea breeze and listen to the waves. Extremely walkable, just cross the street and go right for plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars. Perfect little 1 hour walk to the lighthouse to get your bearings. Very secure, and the security guards at the front got to know us really quickly which made it easy to come and go. Laying out by the pool was perfect in the late afternoon, the pool, grounds and common areas are immaculately kept. The host even accommodated a late checkout at very last minute notice so we wouldn’t have to loiter around the bus stop longer than required and answered messages almost immediately and was very friendly. 10/10 recommend.
