Although there are other accommodations nearby you dont notice them at all and we felt very secluded it was a superb stay, the space, fire and hot tub were just perfect. The rooms were great on the larger size with fabulous views over the Gardens . Great facilities with good parking. Even placing a reserved sign on the disabled parking for my Mum. Lovely personal touch. The ambience. I feel the hotel may have been refurbished in recent years. Great decor throughout. Wellness & Spa Centre, looked very good. Unfortunately I didn’t get the opportunity to use on this stay. Will definitely return to this hotel again .

The Thanington Hotel has an unique courtyard rose garden and a very cosy bar We stayed in the four-poster room and found it very comfortable for our 4 night stay. Large room and bathroom, plenty of mirrors and good lighting. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh, high-quality ingredients and plenty of choice. The pool was a lovely treat to come back to after a big day out. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the centre of Canterbury, and having on-site parking was a real bonus. The only minor downside was that the room was quite warm, and there’s no air conditioning—though this seems common in the UK. Being on a main road, there was a bit of traffic noise when the windows were open. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely return. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The hotel front desk is open 24-hours and food is served 24-hours a day. For a night stopover we thought this was a good hotel, being in a convenient but quiet location just Fabulous, outside Dover, and with on-site free parking. The deal we got made it outstanding and valuable stay. The entrance area is bright and modern and staff were polite and welcoming gentleman Mayur was brilliant. we had walked around the hotels in the morning, experienced breathtaking view.
