It beat all my expectations. Now I understand why the reviews are so good! Everything is so thoughtfully done. Firstly, the shuttle is a great bonus to be picked up at the station promptly and driven a short distance to the beautiful quaint/remote location of Villanova, surrounded by greenery! The views were stunning. Then to be warmly greeted by the staff, who were beyond friendly/kind and very informative. There is even a golf buggy which dropped us off to the doorstep of our room. The room is traditional, very clean and the bed was spacious and so comfy! There is so much on offer, massages/local tours(olive oil tasting/cooking classes/yoga)/we rented e-bikes for the day to take us to the centre of town, which was a lot of fun! Also, the pool facilities are incredible, clean, tranquil and so relaxing. The photos don’t do this beautiful place justice. Then the breakfast was perfect, everything local, huge selection and lovely outdoor seating area. As you can tell, I couldn’t recommend it more and we absolutely loved our stay there! The wellness centre is complete with a sauna and a relaxation area. Massages are also available. This hotel is a gem. We booked a 5 night stay and we absolutely loved it. This place is designed for relaxation and is a great jumping off point for exploring the region. All of the facilities- pool, dining room, bedroom are lovely and well appointed. But the best thing is how accommodating the staff are. All of the staff, but particularly Yaunes at the desk, made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. They were very accommodating, answered our questions and created a very positive vibe. The rooms are large and uncluttered and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinners were terrific. Someone noted that they don't serve lunch, but they have a bar menu that includes items like salads with protein that are more and enough for lunch. Another plus is the free shuttle that takes you to the station or into the town. It was also easy to walk into town on our own but I would not recommend trying to walk to the hotel with luggage.
