All rooms offer air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Excellent food. Everything felt incredibly fresh, which for me is a huge bonus. The staff was lovely and available by email for any question I had even before arrival. The setting is pastoral—you see green on every side. There’s a horse farm where you can go for a ride. Truly charming. We didn’t try the spa, but my husband had an in-room massage and was very pleased. Very clean. Recommended for anyone looking to escape all the city noise. A car is essential.

The medieval centre is a 5-minute walk away from Villa Romantica Wellness & SPA. what a lovely place! the staff was incredible. they gave us cookies and drinks upon our arrival. beds were made. sofa bed was out. heater worked. great bathroom. walking distance from historic town of lucca.

The wellness centre includes a sauna, fitness centre and and indoor pool which is connected to the outdoor pool. Beauty treatments and massages can be booked. I liked the fact the room was clean. We have asked for a cot, as we travelled with our child. The breakfast was delicious, with great variety of food. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and very accomodating. We have travelled a lot and stayed in different hotels around Europe and i can say that the staff in Palazzo Castri was class. Fairplay to the management for this!
