Das Hostel liegt etwas oberhalb des Zentrums von Lucea, das man in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen kann. Dort hat man einen ATM, Supermarkt und eine sehr leckere Bakery für Paties. Die Straße bis zum Hostel ist wie nahezu überall bei Seitenstraßen mit Schlaglöchern überfüllt, aber trotzdem langsam gut befahrbar. Das Personal rund um Conroy ist super freundlich. Er hat uns am ersten Tag in die City begleitet. Super ist auch das Frühstück in drei Gängen: Obst, Porredge und dann jamaikanisches Frühstück mit warmem Fisch, Gemüse etc. Die gesamte Einrichtung des Hauses ist sehr geschmackvoll und es ist super sauber. Auch die Außenanlage und der Pool sind sehr schön. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt.

I'm still glowing from the care and hospitality I was fortunate enough to experience, as well as from my island tan. The food at Hotel Reggae was the best! I'm so in love with the sawfish and/or veggie fritters, Best on the island! It's best not to believe what is said about Jamaica, experiencing Jamaica for yourself is better, for sure! Like I said to one Jamaica mon, "if they lie about Indigenous people, you know they're going to lie about your people". Go feel the LOVE for yourself, believe me!
