Very friendly staff, nice garden, good food

Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The transport into the food market was most welcome.

AMAZING is probably the best word that can describe our 3 nights stay at “THE NAMKHAN” eco-resort retreat, situated on the banks of the Namkhan River. From we arrived, the personal touch, and care was felt, and the staff did their best in order to make us feel special, and welcome at all times - often greeted by our names in restaurant and bar, which make us feel even more wanted and special as guests Had the most amazing food served in their cozy restaurant, overlooking the river, breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner was so tasty, and well cooked, with lots of flavors, fresh herbs and vegetables from their own organic farm, were you can even join, and cook your own meal after picking your vegetables on site, next to the restaurant - lots to choose from on the menu, and we especially loved the Lao local food and taste, from the menu card - you must also try one of the wonderful drinks, when happy hour in Bar & Restaurant - served with crispy cashew nuts and local roasted peanuts - always a good start Lots of activities, yoga, spa, pool, games, “beach” and sports and gym - but in a relaxed and cozy vibe - no stress, just relax and feel good - loved pool area and facilities in that area with towels and cozy bar, free cooled water served at your sun bed - what’s not to like 15 minutes drive from hotel, you find Luang Prabang city, where you should go for a boat ride on the mighty Mekong River, reception can arrange a tour for you, or just use the APP linked to reception for booking your activities 6 times a day - free shuttle to/from city center You will find a small shop in the reception, with local products made by selected local women and projects - we loved the engagement in supporting the local community - and we will cherish our new breadbaskets We can truly understand why THE NAMKHAN is a proud member of “Small Luxury Hotels of the World” - Rooms well equipped and nicely designed and decorated for maximum comfort and wellbeing Thank you Carl, and...

We enjoyed the days we spent in Luang Prabang and our stay at le Parasol Blanc provided the ultimate holiday feeling. The location of the resort is unique, an oasis of nature still near the city centre and the river. Extremely friendly and helpful staff!!! They arranged a private boat tour and a trip to the Kuangsi waterfall for us. The laundry service is perfect and affordable. Having breakfast in the tropical garden was a good start of the day. Our stay in Luang Prabang was a highlight during our trip thanks to hotel le Parasol Blanc and its staff. Many thanks!!!

Location was great, and we loved biking around the town on the bikes provided by the hotel. It was also easy to walk from the hotel as well. The food was mostly outstanding, the staff very friendly with excellent English. We loved the architecture and layout of the hotel, and the pool was amazing.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hillside. As mentioned in their write up, it is quite far out of town so would be best to spend some time staying in town and then some time here relaxing. Khan was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed. We tried many things on the menu and they were all amazing. The pool was a great temperature, not too cold. My outdoor massage was amazing!! There is a village 15 minutes walk up the road to gather snacks and drinks if you want to and a small adventure park with some activities. There are boardgames and cards games available to use as well as petanque and table tennis. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this resort! So relaxing!

The staff at this hotel is the gem in the crown, in no other hotel did we find all the staff so helpful and friendly. Everything is in walking distance from this location-night market, seeing the monks, lots of food options. The freedom to have breakfast at a slower pace (us not the hotel service) over looking the river or to have it quicker (eat and go) in the main building, which suited us if we were heading out on a tour. The boat cruise in the afternoon was lovely as well.

Accommodation very comfortable, great location. Staff is very helpful and friendly with good English skills. Comfortable beds, good Wi-Fi connection.

Beautiful hotel, very well located and very nice that on Xmas night they offer a cocktail to the guest. My highlights of the hotel: the breakfast (OMG it is healthy and soooo delicious) and the pool! We highly recommend this place for a nice stay in Luang Prabang

Extremely friendly and helpful staff from frontdesk to restaurant personnel. Wonderful terrace facing the pool for breakfast and other meals. Clean and large pool. Wunderfully decorated and spacious room with wooden floor (we received an upgrade when we arrived early!). In December 2022, Luang Prabang was already receiving many guests and was no longer a quiet place but still wonderful to visit. Location convenient, close to night market but still very quiet. It was my second visit to this hotel after 10 years and I still loved it and will come again.
