It’s located in a dense jungle area off the normal road but it’s magical once you get there. Hearing the waves crashing all day long along with the birds chirping is so soothing and serene. You literally feel like you’re in a rainforest. The breakfast was good as well, they offer few set menu options which you can choose from.

Guests can relax in the tropical garden or by the outdoor swimming pool. Good Karma Restaurant, which is located on the beach, serves both Sri Lankan and international dishes. A selection of seafood is also offered. Peaceful place, very nice walk along the beach, candle diner at night at the beach, very nice rooms. Staff is lovely and detailed oriented. Good place if you are looking for a place to sleep and relax with a book.

The beachside is simply stunning, offering peace and quiet throughout the stay. The food was excellent, the swimming pool was refreshing, and the cleanliness of the property was flawless. What truly stood out was the exceptional service — the staff went above and beyond, making the stay feel warm and personalized.

Spent 5 relaxing days here and would definitely come back

The accommodation offers a spa centre. Guests at Sleeping Elephant Beach Resort will be able to enjoy activities in and around Tangalle, like cycling. An utterly beautiful, serene place to enjoy peace and quiet. The villa was super clean and comfortable, the restaurant provided delicious meals and the staff and hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The location was on a long stretch of idyllic golden sandy beach with no one around. The pool area perfect. If you’re looking for tranquility and quality, look no further.

The accommodation provides a private beach area and a range of water sports facilities, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean, located on the second floor overlooking the beautiful lagoon. The wifi was strong and had a wonderful speed. Lakshitha was ready to assist us in every request we had. Dinner at the property's restaurant was very tasty, we tried prawn and fish curries, as well as dhal and beans curries. The turtle beach is a 5 minutes stroll away. We warmly recommend this guesthouse.
