Smooth check in. When we arrived at the room, I was a bit worried we wouldn't sleep well as it is so close to the airport, but we both slept like babies. Soft and comfortable bed and nice pillows helped. We were able to see the sun set from our balcony (though a little far away).

Each day we had a wonderful table booked with our favourite fruit, 'nenas' (pineapple) waiting for us to eat before breakfast. The food and beverage team, Jumarah, Lou, Conny, Nor, Siti and Marianah (hope I got the spelling right) were a dream to help us each day. Not only did they help me with my limited Bahasa Malay, they also provided high-level professional service making me and my family feel so welcome at Shangri-La. We will miss you guys! The breakfast buffet was an exception and one not to miss. Something for everyone!
