The location is convenient but it all depends where you want to go in the city. Don't take taxis recommended from the concierge because they are twice as expensive as the ones you can catch on the street. Beware that Lima is a big city and the traffic moves very slowly whenever you go. The staff is very helpful and the hotel experience overall is excellent.
