Poonsiri Resort Aonang-SHA Extra Plus is situated among tranquil mangroves and sheer limestone cliffs. Surrounded by a lagoon, Thai-style rooms feature a balcony with outdoor furniture. Guests can enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool or take a kayak to explore the area. Free WiFi access is available in public areas. Poonsiri was the highlight of our trip. The staff were lovely, food and drinks were great, amenities are modern and clean and the rooms were beautiful. The macaques family, who inhabits the land the resort is built on, were a wonderful bonus and my kids loved feeding the fish straight off our private balcony. It was a short drive to a national park with fresh water swimming in waterfalls, and the Elephant Care House where longer (ethical) hands on experiences are available with the elephants - also, at times you can see the elephants bathing in another sanctuary next door from a well designed viewing deck. Another bonus is the free shuttle to Ao Nang markets and beach, where it is a longboat ride to beautiful Railley Beach (TIP: take reef shoes in case the tide is out on the way back - you have to walk off the boat to Ao Nang shore - the water is not clear at Ao Nang and there are sharp rocks). We would return to stay in Poonsiri Resort again without hesitation.

Beach and Pool area are amazing as are the grounds around the hotel. Breakfast in the club suite was really nice. Plenty of choice and no mad rush. Would visit again.

Extremely friendly staff and they all looked happy, happy staff makes the experience delightful! NAAM wellness treat was the star of the hotel and we were fortunate enough that the staff were able to accommodate our request due to a miss-communication. Hotel is new (less than 2yrs) and everything is pristine quaint, defo a spot to unwind for a holiday. One of those five star hotel stays that is well worth the money spend and perhaps a re-visit some time later :-) breakfast spread is great as well with healthy eating in mind. With free WiFi, this 4-star resort has a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation features room service, a concierge service and organising tours for guests. We had a wonderful stay at the Lanta Palace. The hotel rooms and grounds are beautiful and the staff is very attentive. The beach is quiet and private. Having dinner right on the beach was a highlight, as was the relaxing massage in the cabana overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was very good. The location is so relaxing that you have to force yourself to leave and visit other places in Ko Lanta.
