The service was excellent and staff were very friendly and attentive. We had forgotten to make transport arrangements from airport to the hotel and we tried many website and transportation company but they didn't have availability. I texted the hotel about 5 hrs before arrival and they were able to arrange transport for us. We were very happy.

We stayed in the 2 BR villa called the Farmhouse, in a fully enclosed and secure area populated by wandering wildebeest, springbok and other birds and animals. The unit was well-spaced from other units. It was well built of concrete, tastefully furnished and supplied with high quality sheets and towels. The kitchen was generously provisioned with a multi-function oven, gas oven, and plenty of crockery and cookware, towels and rubbish bags. There was an outside under-cover dining/lounge room with a brai and spa. There were 2 large bedrooms with lockable connecting door. Contact with our hosts was virtual, but they responded quickly and were helpful. There was plenty of opportunity to spot animals from the house and on walks in the neighbourhood.

The food (almost too much of it) the heated pool, the spa, the drinks on the deck, the game drives, the views, rooms are super clean and fresh towels whenever you need. There really isn’t anything not to like. It was a magical restful time and exactly what we needed after a crazy year.

This is one of those rare places where only videos or seeing the lodge in person can fully capture the attention to detail and layout of the lodge, photos just don't do justice to take it all in. The included breakfast is exceptional too and way better than anything you could find elsewhere in town. We don't often post reviews on accommodation that we stay at but this is an exception. Having visited all corners of the globe this is the closest we have seen to a 10/10. The lodge is roomy, well decorated and full of optional extras at your discretion to make your visit even more memorable. If you want to really cap off a memorable visit to the Kruger/Blyde River region, this is definitely the place to stay!

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. We spent two unforgettable nights at Maroelani for our honeymoon, and everything was simply perfect. The staff is absolutely exceptional — Kim and Brandon went truly above and beyond anything we could have wished for. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to every little detail made our stay incredibly special. They made us feel at home in the middle of the bush! The chef deserves a standing ovation: every dish was both a work of art and a delight to taste — and we say this as Italians, who are usually quite picky about food! The table service was flawless, and we loved that each meal was served in a different location, beautifully arranged setting, making every moment unique. Our Riverside Suite was stunning — spacious, elegant, and perfectly immersed in nature, where we could watch animals passing by right from our terrace. Obviously no wifi. But it was nice be out of the world for a couple of day. It’s part of the experience.

Shayna, Emma and Angela were great hosts and guides, the staff was awesome and the Chef is GREAT! Safe and delicious place for vegans! The game drives were very nice and fun, the girls know their bush! We got to see the big five in only 2 days. The cabin was nice and cozy, even though it gets pretty hot during the day (at night it becomes bearable with the fan on). Good hot shower! The elephants in the pool are breathtaking and the highlight of this amazing place.
