I was almost put off by the negative reviews of this hotel online, but am so happy that I wasn't. It's true that the place is a bit tired, but it is a solid 7 or 8, not 1 in any case! Lack of options in Panagyurishte made me think twice before booking this place, and in the meantime all cheap rooms were gone, leaving me only with the apartment. As it is only BGN50 more expensive than the rest of the rooms, I thought it is a fair deal. It ended up being not an apartment but a fairly large studio on the top floor, facing the main town square and the Apriltsi monument, complete with a single round terrace on the building facade, tucked under the pitched roof. It felt incredibly private, and as this is also the most centrally located hotel in Panagyurishte, it also felt like the most prime seat in the whole town to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The terrace got good use! There is also a restaurant in the building ground floor, facing the main square which I thought was quite good. Service there was impeccable!

Good location, welcoming hosts, clean and quiet—great value for money. We chose to dine at the on-site garden restaurant, and that was the best decision! The service was outstanding, and the food was exceptionally delicious. The breakfast was fabulous too. Highly recommend the restaurant if you book this place—it’s a must. The friendly staff made our check-in very easy and welcoming, the room was comfortable, clean and had excellent views over the village and hills. Location is very central and there is free parking right next to the property which was very handy. We had a great time and would highly recommend!
