I couldn't find a hotel room for the night, and feel blessed and lucky to have found Kyotoya. It is set in a great area close to the station, Takeo Onsen and not far from all the sights. On entering you will find a beautiful lobby full of antique furniture and a great area to have tea and coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. The traditional tatami room was wonderful, the futon and pillow comfortable, and of course there is the onsen on the second floor to relax and refresh yourself on your travels. I loved the place and would absolutely book again. The staff were helpful and friendly and very patient with my poor level of Japanese. Don't hesitate to stay here if your looking for a much more special experience than your regular hotels within the same price range.

Only 10 minutes away from the train station, the room was so comfortable and I even had the surprise to discover a massage seat in my room! I stayed only one night but would 100% recommend and come again !

They kindly picked us from Ureshino onsen station even though we didn’t informed them in advance. Tourist information helped us call. The onsen up the mountain was great, free transport provided both ways. The food was excellent. The onsen water was great for my skin. Would definitely visit again .
