I absolutely loved the peaceful setting of Milkyway Holiday Resort. It’s a beautiful property nestled in nature, right by a serene lagoon. The views were stunning and made for the perfect backdrop to unwind. It's also conveniently located just a 20-minute walk from Unawatuna Beach, which was super handy. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

The location was perfect for the beach. The accommodation is in a quiet street that is very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely little chilled pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful with anything you need. We had a lovely Sri Lankan breakfast whilst there. The room was beautiful too probably the nicest room we had our whole stay!

We got an upgrade to a room with a view. BEAUTIFUL! Amazing stay, room is clean and has all you need for your stay. Bed is amazing. Soaps and such. Breakfast is basic but enough to get you started. Location is amazing, close to main street and all shops,5 minutes from beach. Staff is wonderful. Smiling and helpful

Undoubtedly the warmest welcome we have experienced in many years of holidays.. Owner Melani, her husband and their staff (Bavee is a real hero) are so friendly and really do everything to make you feel at home. Our apartment was very spacious and very tastefully decorated. The garden is a gem. Breakfast and dinner are very tasty. The only downside I can mention is that the sun loungers by the pool need replacing. The villa is quietly located, 5 minutes by tuktuk to the center of Unawatuna or the beaches (the hotel's tuktuk service costs you 600 LKR). We are at the beginning of our roundtrip through Sri Lanka. Still 8 hotels to go but we fear that the best stay is already behind us: the fantastic Villa Gaetano!

Great location right on the beach. Turtles in the waves just along the sand. Nice food for all meals, really well presented. The staff can't do enough to help with anything you need. Highly recommended and very relaxing.

People The owner Lee & all of the staff (Pushpika & Sludara) made us feel so welcome and did everything to make Sue our stay was comfortable. Location Although a little away from the beach, this was an advantage. Quiet, with a beautiful view of the jungle. We saw a mongoose, palm squirrels, langar monkeys, a peacock and many other special birds. The way that the place is set back from the road and the construction meant it was very peaceful. Room A really lovely, well appointed room with fridge, aircon, safe, comfortable beds, wi-fi, lots of power points, clean and modern bathroom. Looking out onto the lovely pool and jungle. Pool Well maintained. A good size and we were always able to get a sun lounge. Lovely temperature and cleaned regularly. Restaurant Although we only had breakfast here during our stay, we coincidentally had a lunch here during a recent tour. Both were excellent. Well cooked, good serving sizes and lovely tasting.
