Situated on the Western Australian coastline within the beautiful shores of Shark Bay, RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort offers beachfront accommodation. Shark Bay is home to one of the world’s best-known dolphin encounters. The property features a swimming pool, bar, restaurant,mini golf. I had the most amazing room in the hotel part of this resort (#8). It was on the end of the line of beach-front cabins, so had an interrupted view of the sea and the dolphins and the boats. It was right on the beach, so I could hear the ocean at night, and could just walk down to the water when dolphins came by. The room itself was "self-contained" so I had all the dishes I needed, the grill, etc. The room was air-conditioned and very comfortable, and yet also had screens so I could open the doors and enjoy the breeze. I liked the food at the resort, and the coffee/cakes. I enjoyed being near the caravan park, where friends of mine had parked. I had great weather, beautiful sunsets, incredible days and evenings exploring the area. It was an unforgettable week at Monkey Mia.

The toilets and the bathroom were clean. We'd definitely stay again.

The center and the shop are close by.

Located on the main road of Carnarvon, Carnarvon Gateway Motel offers an outdoor swimming pool, free on-site parking directly in front of your room and free WiFi in public areas. There is an on-site restaurant and bar open 7 days a week. It was a nice stopover before heading up north. I enjoyed my brief stay, nice comfortable beds and the restaurant was very convenient after a long day of driving.
