The pousada is gorgeous. Spotless. Rooms were lovely. Very large bed which was very comfy. Rooms modern. Big smart tv in room. Staff so friendly and helpful. Big breakfast buffet in morning with lots of options. Outside area is really nice and pool is great. Location fantastic - just short walk across river and your in historic centre. Or less than 10 min to nearest beach. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay and would highly recommend.

Conveniently located in the Cabore district of Paraty, Pousada Aquino Mar is set 1.5 km from Jabaquara Beach, 1.6 km from Paraty Bus station and 1.2 km from Puppet Theatre. This 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. There is an outdoor pool and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This pousada is 1.5 km from the old part of Paraty. For us, it was not a problem since we preferred to take a walk along the canal in the evenings to and from our favourite restaurants and pubs situated in the downtown area of Paraty. This is a very neat, new, well-maintained, and very clean pousada with a very welcoming staff. Air conditioning is available everywhere. Plugs are also available in the room (not near the bed, though!). The rooms are acceptable in size, with a large, comfortable double bed. Cleaning in the room and bathroom was done on a daily basis. Shower pressure was acceptable, and hot water was provided via an instant hot water electric generator (like we noticed in most of the pousadas in Brazil). Hot water at the sink is not available. We have asked for a room overlooking the rear courtyard since, on the roadside, the noise from the street would not be acceptable to us. Windows does not offer soundproofing in Brazil, as we have noticed in many pousadas; therefore, it would be good to carefully select your location. Flat 40" TV with already-available Netflix so that we could follow our favourite TV series. The Internet in the room on TV is via cable; therefore, everything played smoothly. Parking places are available in front of the pousada and away from city traffic. Security cameras monitor the property around the clock, and a pool inside Pousada's courtyard is also available and included in the price only for guests. A small but efficient fridge we had in the room. The property has its own back-up generator therefore in case of blackouts in the area everything is still runing smoothly autonomously. A big plus! In case you have forgotten to buy water or juices from outside, this pousada can sell you water and non-alcohol beverages.

The room was impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. The garden was beautiful, filled with amazing orchids. The pousada is peaceful and quiet, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. The hosts, Jo and Vicente, along with all their staff, were kind and welcoming. They shared their delicious home-made lunch with us, gave excellent restaurant and tour guide recommendations, helped with currency exchange, and even lent us money when we didn’t have cash to pay our driver.

With free WiFi, this 3-star inn offers room service and a 24-hour front desk. Guests can make use of a bar. The staff was the most helpfull i have ever encountered when on holiday. Drove us to city centre when there were no taxis, drove us to busstation to help buying bustickets when we had trouble communicating in portugues. Eduardo and staff were the best, the were sweet, helpfull and respectful.

Set in Abraão, a few steps from Abraao Beach, Pousada Rubi offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as a restaurant. With a garden, the 3-star inn has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The inn has family rooms. Exceptional property! A lot of reviews say that already and I was somewhat cynical before arriving but Pousada Rubi is an absolute gem. It’s a boutique 9 room inn with neat and clean rooms. The 3 rooms in the front offer ocean views but the rest are great too. The breakfast is delicious. The inn is located at a short 5 min walk from the piers. Gabi, Bia, and rest of the staff are very considerate, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend. We hope to be back! (The restaurant next door called Lua e Mar is notorious for adding extra items to the bill that weren’t ordered so please check your bill before paying.)
