Producing its own range and brands of beers, this traditional 3-star superior family-run hotel is quietly situated in the beautiful Oberallgäu location of Missen-Wilhams. It is 11 km from the Großer Alpsee lake. We have visited Missen on many a trip. One of those places that draws you back again and again without knowing really why. This is our first stayover at Brauereigasthof Schäffler, mainly because of the brewery, but boy, will we be back again. To the passer by, the hotel looks like any other Bavarian stay over.....but step inside and the totally unexpected modernised yet historic interior hits you. Clean, wonderful, and friendly. Amazing dining and breakfast. Secure undercover parking for motorcyclists. We shall certainly return.

Amazing serenity and wonderful experience. The accommodations, the hosts, everything was perfect. Surreal location.

We felt very relaxed, it was very quiet and nothing bothered us. The room was huge and traditionally decorated, with quality furniture. There are also some dedicated parking places just outside the villa and everything is less than 10 minutes away (shops, restaurants). What really impressed us was the kindness of the owner. He is hardworking and he always made sure that everything is perfect for us. He provided the most delicious and fresh breakfast, with large portions that consisted in eggs, cheese, small packs of salads, leberwurst, amazing bread, and croissants, fruits, milk, juices, coffee, jams and Nutella. We really felt welcomed here and it was a great spot for visiting Bavaria (and Austria as well).

The Geldernhaus Hotel garni is the former hunting and holiday residence of the Counts of Geldern-Egmont and was built in 1911. A true gem. It features a total of 11 comfortable rooms in a refined country-house style, each with its own unique colors, patterns, and fabrics.

The villa is quietly located near the city center, not far from the Nebelhornbahn cable car and the Schattenberg mountain. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden. It’s a monumental property and it breathes character and style which we love so much !! See my pictures also.
