My sister and I loved absolutely everything in the hotel, especially the staff who were all adorable. The breakfast was freshly cooked and also had buffet options for cereals, fruits etc. The room was huge and had huge windows toward the front of the hotel with a nice armchair to relax and enjoy the skies.

From the very beginning, communication was very clear and timely. We had absolutely no trouble at all finding the location thanks to Nicola’s excellent directions, and Erich met us on arrival to greet us, show us around, and tell us how things worked. The annex was very spacious and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The breakfast items provided were a welcome addition and everyone in the family had something to choose from. The beds were extremely comfy. The fireplace was loaded up with wood and ready to go, but we didn’t need to use it because it didn’t get too chilly. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the apartment since we were only there for one night, but the living area was very nicely set up and there were lots of board games and such available. The rural location is very quiet and a nice break from the city crowds. We have already recommended it to friends who plan to come watch the Edinburgh Tattoo later this year.

The best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The hosts are wonderful people, extremely kind and always ready to provide any information you might need. They think of every little detail and you feel truly comfortable in their beautiful accomodation. The location is perfectly connected to the city centre — the bus stops right in front of the accommodation and takes you to the centre quickly. The room is beautiful, spacious, cleaned every day, and exceptionally tidy — the cleanest I have ever seen. Also, the cooked breakfast is exceptionally delicious. Thank you for everything!

Das Sonas Guest House bietet Ihnen helle, gemütliche Zimmer, kostenfreie Parkplätze und kostenfreies WLAN. Die historische Royal Mile und der Holyrood Park sind nur 20 Gehminuten entfernt. Sonas was one of the best guesthouses I’ve ever been to. It was quiet, clean and location was excellent!! There were food, water, coffee and tea. We also used their free parking for our trip to the highlands. This place had everything. I highly recommend!

Kath ist eine sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, edel und stimmig. Auch das Haus und der Vorgarten sind sehr hübsch. Auf jeden Fall zi empfehlen. Kaffee und Tee auf dem Zimmer zubereitbar, Parkplatz und Bushaltestelle direkt vorm Haus. Trotz der Hauptstrasse unglaublich ruhig.

Lovely, spacious cottage. Very clean. Nicely furbished. With good weather space outside. Secluded area so you need a car. Great place to take a train into Edinburgh.

We were greeted with a warm welcome from Laura, who was very kind and helpful. A big thank you to her for treating us extremely well for the duration of our stay. Even after we arrived a bit before the check-in, we were allowed to access the room, which was great as we were in need of a rest after our travels. The decor of the hotel is lovely. The room was comfortable and quiet with a lovely view of green spaces at the back. The breakfast is great value and delicious. The owners, especially the son was very friendly and cooked the breakfast in the morning. As it was my birthday, they didn't charge me for the breakfast which was a lovely touch. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. It is a convenient 10 mins stroll from the main street and 1 min from haymarket train station, which was convenient as we came by train from Aberdeen. The tram to the airport is also in front so we had easy access to it when we leaving Edinburgh. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Edinburgh.
