Sobra is a nice, quiet place to use as a base to explore Mljet (you need a car). The hosts at Vitorin went out of their way to make me feel welcome.

Great location, next to the seaside, in the heart of charming Sobra village. The place is huge and the view from the room I was in is spectacular. Unfortunately, we were there for 3 days only, but this apartment seems suitable for longer stays as it offers everything you could wish for. There are two bathrooms, one in each floor, which is super handy if there are more people. There was a bottle of locally-produced olive oil in the kitchen, which you can freely use, and then buy some more if you want. We did just that, and I can highly recommend it, it's a really good oil.

It was very very clean. It's a family business and you can see them working very hard from early morning till night as they also have a restaurant. Their restaurant was one of the best in the little town, good prices , good simple home food.
