You literally exit the hotel, take two steps and you’re at the station. There is a number of shops and a 7 Eleven at the station. The staff were super friendly and the hotel is clean and has everything you need. The Hakodate morning market, a branch of the famous Hakodate exclusive Lucky Pierrot and the Street Car are within walking distance along with a number of souvenir shops and seafood restaurants. The bus station is also nearby. There is a good selection of vending machines on the second floor of the hotel so you don’t have worry about getting thirsty.

The hotel is situated in a prime location, near to Odori park, and the staff is consistently friendly and readily available to assist guests. The rooms are exceptionally clean and are equipped with all necessary amenities. Each room is furnished with a two-in-one washing and dryer machine, which is a significant plus. I would highly recommend this hotel and intend to return in the future again and again ( ◠‿◠ )

Our family stay there for 3 nights during December 2024. Very cozy and comfortable experience. Close to ski entrance in walking distance. Rika made different and delicious breakfast for us every morning and Gareth took very good care to us, even lend us cash when we forgot our wallet on the way to ski. We will visit this beautiful place again for sure. Perhaps, in Summer.

Can accommodate up to 6 grown adults. Location is near everything and within walking distance of the Otaru Train Station. The bedding and blankets provided kept you very warm. Also has a small kitchen to prepare light snacks or reheat meals.

One of the best stays we’ve had in Japan so far. The space is spotlessly clean and has a very comforting and cosy vibe. The staff were super welcoming, spoke excellent English, helped us out with parking and accommodated dietary needs for breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the bar - the cocktails were some of the best we had in Japan. There is a fire pit on the terrace which adds to the charm of this already beautiful hotel.

Das Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko liegt 10 Fahrminuten vom Nationalpark Shiretoko entfernt, der zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehört. A lovely small hotel facing the Sea of Okhotsk where you can see a beautiful sunset right in front of your room. The Japanese-style room is spacious with a large window facing the sea. The private open bath is excellent. At dinner, you get the chance to make a variety of tempura by yourself which is kind of fun. This hotel is not far from Oshinkoshin Waterfalls and the Shiretoko Nature Center and the five lakes. I will definitely come back again, perhaps in mid-February to see the ice floes in front of this hotel.
