The Xmas market area was right outside the door. The room was almost a suite (had a little seating area next to the window with a half wall separating it from the bed area) and had good mattresses, WiFi and shower, and room for all bags. Doors open to a faux balcony above the street. Breakfast was tasty and has alternative milk options and a fridge full of juices. Luggage storage is easy thanks to reception ladies Cristina and Maria. I had to add my friend to my reservation and the charge was only 15 Euro extra per night (thank you Maria!) Also love the top floor lounge and terrace overlooking the cathedral.

The room charming wtih a balcony overlooking the water. The breakfast was so delicious and a wonderful way to start our day as we headed out for our adventures. We used the restaurant for our first night and the food was amazing. We went back a second time and I, embarresingly(?)rdered the exact same meal because it was so craveable.

The property is 300 metres from Madeira Congress Center and 650 metres from Marina do Funchal. Very easy communication with Miguel, our host. We had an issue in our room, and immediately it was resolved. The staff, Desiree, was very kind and accommodating to our requests and needs. The location is superb. Near public transportation bus stop, and a lot of places in the old city, garden, and marina of Madeira is walkable. Supermarket and restaurants are very near. And if you’re renting a car, there is free parking at the basement of the hotel. Early reservation with Miguel should be done.
