I haven’t read the messages on the photo while booking and couldn’t get the balcony room. Hotel Shine is a 15-minute walk from the famous Privoz Market. Both the city centre of Odessa and Odessa Central Train Station are 2 km away. Odessa International Airport is 16 km away. I very much appreciated the location. The beach was in relatively short walking distance, enabling me to enjoy every evening - staying for 6 nights - wonderful moments right at the Black Sea. Nevertheless, the city center also was in acceptable walking distance, or could easily be reached by trolleybus. I also enjoyed that Shine Hotel was breathing the shine of past glory whilst it's a budget hotel according to today's standards. Very clean. Perfectly equipped. Yet a little old-fashioned. Wonderful friendly staff. There were two options for breakfast, either at the restaurant which was very good, served at the table, or as takeout breakfast boxes. The latter I appreciated when leaving early for excursions. But I understand that the restaurant is not available every morning. After all, I loved Shine Hotel very much.
