Superb location, a quiet countryside lane and yet just a very short walk to an excellent pub with a beautiful garden. The Nest had absolutely everything we needed, it was spotless, compact and very comfortable. It was definitely a home away from home. Forest walks were right on our doorstep, the whole area is blessed with beautiful parks, lanes and villages. There are loads of great pub meals to be had in the area and we even found some excellent coffee nearby. Our host Serena was very helpful, she really made us feel welcome and was full of great ideas for things to do.

7 The Walks was full of character and was very comfortable. Really comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms, a large kitchen and large comfortable lounge.Very clean and well equipped, e.g. a proper washing-up cloth rather than the usual j-cloth! I loved the old-fashioned toilet with the pull chain which reminded me of my childhood at my grandmother’s house. I also loved the wonky floors and the first floor bedroom with the low beamed ceiling and the old wooden bed in it (very comfortable mattress). It was lovely to wake up in the morning with a ‘lost in time’ feeling. Parking wasn’t a problem. Two close lovely walks to the right and left.

We had a amazing stay was very clean and coasy, the lovely landlord rabecca left us some Maltesers as a welcome what were super yummy thank you , the retreat was very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be returning!

It was an absolutely stunning location, and the fact it's all gated and secure was a very nice feeling. The hosts were lovely, and approachable. Inside was a folder with everything you needed to know, appliance directions, maps, things to do guides, and it was all just very thoughtful.
