It was very spacious and could accommodate all 8 of us. The bathroom was very nice and everything in the house was like new.

Beautiful and pretty stream flows and the place is surrounded by mountains and mountains (not high mountains). This place is not only isolated for tourists, but also the place we feel and enjoy the atmosphere mixed with the people who live there. Many neighbors come to here and talk. The dinner and breakfast are quite good. They respect the local foods like Gibier, Mountain vegetables and hand-made-breads and good wines. Shiojiri is one of the most famous Japanese winery places. They serve much of SHIOJIRI special wines.

The room was tidy and clean, and the staff were eager to help. Most importantly, there were many facilities that children loved.

The coziness of the property, the beds and futons are very comfy. Everything are new and clean. The owner is very friendly and super responsive.

Forest Agata. What a wonderful little house in a great location in Matsumoto. We are a couple travelling by ourselves. We stayed there for just one night but would have loved to stay longer. Masa (Masaya) is a great host, provided suggestions as to what to see & do, is very available to answer any questions that you might have and more than willing to step in, if you need a hand or get stuck. Thank you Masa for looking after us! The location is the real key as to why this place was attractive to us. Being just a 5 minute walk to the entry to a new shopping mall with a food court on the top level (with 6-8 different vendors including KFC & Moss Burger) and 6 or so restaurants downstairs, it has plenty of dining options. On the way to the mall, there is the local bus stop, that can take you to the main JR station (10 minute ride, about Y200) Matsumoto castle is about a 20min walk from Forest Agata. Its is a great opportunity to follow the laneways through the suburbs and stumble across unexpected finds. There are tours of the castle in English language that depart from the main entrance at allocated times. The house itself has everything you need for your stay, including a dine in kitchen & laundry facilities. Although an old construction, everything is spotlessly clean & has new fittings and fixtures, like the toilet suite and vanity. We stayed in the winter time & the lounge/kitchen/diner & bedrooms are heated by reverse cycle air conditioning. The parts of the house that are not heated are quite cold, so make sure you have some warm lounge wear if staying during winter. There is a 7-11 Konbini right next door to the house, which is (obviously) quite convenient. When we first saw it we were a little worried about noise issues, but it proved to be not intrusive during sleep time with the heater on. We really loved our stay in Matsumoto & thank you Masa for looking after us.

The house looks like newly renovated. Clean and spotless. Well decorated and cozy. 7eleven within 5 minutes walk. Free parking in front of the house. Quiet block. Washing machine and drying facility in bathroom. Walking distance to Matsumoto Castle and JR station. We have no problem finding the house using Google map.

Superb! Very clean, very spacious, quiet and nice surrounding, a complete set of high quality seasonings in the kitchen, all facilities are of top quality. Sighting of deers in front of the house (multiple times). Highly recommended!
