Such a lovely cosy apartment with windows all round and overlooking Lake Myvatn. It was the perfect place to relax and hope to see the Northern Lights from the big balcony outside. The place was thoughtfully designed as open plan with nice touches such as candles and rugs. The underfloor heating was very efficient and plenty of kitchenware plus oven, stovetop, microwave, washing machine etc. We had looked at slightly cheaper options nearby but I think it was worth paying a little extra for this one. Would highly recommend!

Svartaborg is set in Húsavík and has a private pool and pool views. With river views, this accommodation features a patio. The villa also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We reserve on the same day to stay and it was snowed during the day after we arrived a person came to do the snow removal with a big machine. We did not get the chance to use the hot tub.

We had upgraded our booking for this area, and had had lovely comms with the owner before leaving the UK, but were blown away by how good this place is when we walked in. One of our top three stays in Iceland. A lovely peaceful location, modern and very well equipped, as well as being very well priced; I'd pay more to stay here again. P.S. If you don't have any stale bread, you'll just have to buy an old loaf for the horses before your arrival.

I enjoyed the hot tub and a nice sauna as well. The farmhouse is quite well equipped with Bluetooth audio a full kitchen, kettle and coffee maker. My stay was very comfortable. I would book again 100%! I must also share that the communication from the owner Barnji was fantastic. He is an engaging fellow and I regret that I didn’t have more time to chat before my scheduled whale watch on departure day.
