It's so spacious and so huge, unbelievable! The view and the facilities both were top notch. During our stay, the weather was rainy but we did a indoor barbecue, which was really great! On top of that, the hosts were also amazing! If you don't mind the hosts living in the same house, you should definitely choose this house as your accommodation for Sado-island trip! There is also a small store nearby which makes it more convenient. If you want to enjoy a stunning view of sunrise, this house is very highly recommended.

This is an absolutely meticulously restored and very conscientiously decorated Japanese empty house - a traditional and older home that's been abandoned as Japan faces population decline. We were the first to stay here from what I understand, and it was clear from every nook and cranny of this place that so much love and attention to detail had been put into the revitalization. So the positives: 1. It is stunning. Every room has been outfitted with engaging art or very beautiful traditional Japanese pieces, if you want a feel for a traditional Japanese home with some modern artistic twists, this is for you. 2. Its spacious. Huge living spaces and multiple areas for relaxation. 3. Its quiet and natural: you are in a very quiet and out of the way rural neighborhood with large green space beautifully decorated out front, The owner has strung up bulbs around the properties perimeter for a magnificent but subtle effect in the evening. 4. Its well stoked - tons of kitchen and bathroom equipment is included. We were only here a few nights but it would be great for someone planning a longer stay and wanting to cook at home. 5. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to contact, and has a ton of great local recommendations.

The space was traditional yet spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. From the many thoughtful details throughout, it’s clear that a great deal of care has been put into the design and maintenance of the property. The amenities provided were among the most complete and considerate I’ve ever seen, exceeding even hotel standards. The staff were also very friendly and professional. Despite our late arrival, the LINE communication was prompt and clear, and the check-in process was smooth and easy to follow. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and we truly loved the experience.

This is first time for us to stay at an old house in Japan. Any area of the house is very clean and we are surprised that such old house are well maintained and is kept alive till now. We are also able to enjoy in nature and rice fields located near y (1 min walk distance). Owner of the house happened to visit us and it was pleasure to hear the brief history of the house.
