It was AMAZING. We arrived after our chilly hike along the trail to a very warm and inviting traditional home. It was stocked with tea, coffee and drinks in the fridge, as well as some snacks. There were so many different areas to sit and relax in the home, we felt soo welcome and at home we did not want to leave. This was a stark contrast to our Air bnb we had in Kyoto where we felt we could not relax or enjoy the property. The sleepy town was fun to explore, the cafe next door was also very warm and welcoming filled with music and warmth. And the beds!! Being 6 months pregnant I was a little worried about the traditional futons on the floor but it was the best sleep I has the whole 3 weeks in Japan. I also appreciated the number of chairs for me to sit in. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay, we wish we could have stayed longer.

It also work like a small conbini as you can buy noodle, drinks whatever you need in the house.

On one hand you get to stay in very traditional Japanese house with amazing character and art work, on the other hand all facilities are new, clean and comfortable! The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything but still quite and easy to access. The host was very lovely, friendly and helpful. It was very easy and pleasant to communicate.
