Because the host was willing to drop us off and pick us up in Valenca or Tui, we were able to do a lot in 2 days.

The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious with everything needed for our stay. While not actually in Guimaraes we used Uber (Bolt also available) to get to the town for just 5 Euros each way, which gave us a welcome break from driving. Although on quite a busy road, inside the apartment was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to communicate with and excellent in answering any questions we had. All in all this was a very good place to stay.

The holiday home with a balcony and river views features 2 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 1 bathroom with a bidet. Towels and bed linen are provided in the holiday home. The accommodation offers a fireplace. The house is located on the hill and has a very nice view of the river. The kitchen has everything that you need for cooking. We wish we could stay longer at this place.

We spent the day at the swimming pool. We wanted a break from the crowds. It is not far from the center of Porto and it is not far from the airport (less than 30 minutes by Uber and only about 35 euros). It was so peaceful and relaxing at the pool. We loved it. The owners/manager are very attentive and welcoming.
