Camp Caroli Family House is a recently renovated holiday home in Jukkasjärvi, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. Everything. I can only recommend staying there. The family house is the actual family house of the team behind camp Caroli and it feels right at home. It’s a dreamy cabin at the end of the road with a view directly on the frozen lake. You can’t beat this location. And don’t get me started on the northern lights. It’s the best place to see any. And we saw many! And on New Year’s Eve! Honestly we couldn’t have dreamt of a better way to start 2025. Go at Camp Caroli! The team is super nice, it’s a family run business and you can tell as they make you feel part of the family as well. All the activities are wonderful and well organized. Just pure polar bliss. The house is warm and comfortable. Even by minus 25 which is the temp we got when we were there. The kitchen is big and nice to cook in. And the bathroom has all you need. Just a perfect place really.

For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. We stayed at the mini lodge for a couple of nights in late September. The place is quite cozy and convenient. The best feature of it - by far - is the view. Right in front of the lake, with only a thin line of trees. We got some pretty good views of the aurora from inside the cabin. The attached picture was taken from inside (using a tripod of course). You can literally catch the aurora while seating on the couch or on the armchair! Relatively secluded as well, as it is located at the end of the road.

We sighted aurora just by being at the balcony of the house!! 2 rooms with 2 big sofa bed at the living room really fit 6 travelers. The grocery store nearby - very convenience and they sell Halal lamb/minced beef/beef patties/chicken!! Really useful for Muslim traveler like us! The instruction placed around the house of how to use the appliances really helpful. The location - we even take a short trip to Narvik, Norway.

It was amazing - super view, very nice area directly at the lake, so cozy to really relax and enjoy (even with 5 person in the lodge), super equipped and northern lights view from the bed. Very nice host who made our stay an unforgetable event - THANK YOU!
